Recruitingpublishers.

An affiliate programme is only as strong as its partners. Recruitment is not a one-off campaign but a continuous cycle of finding, approaching, activating and pruning. Here is how to run it per market.

Where to find publishers

Start with who already writes about your category: review sites, comparison sites, niche blogs, newsletters, communities and content creators. Search results for your main product term are a good first list.

There are also publisher types with reach but less influence on the decision, such as cashback and coupon sites. They can be valuable if you agree where in the journey they may take part.

How to approach them

Write in the language of the market and reference what the publisher already publishes. State the offer immediately: commission, average order value, cookie duration and why your shop converts.

Make joining easy. One sign-up link, a feed or deep-link generator and a named contact remove most friction.

The first thirty days

A sign-up is not revenue. Plan a first placement, supply content or imagery and verify that links work and tracking fires.

Follow up on the first result per partner and ask for feedback. Often a small change — a different landing page, a temporary code — makes the difference.

Guarding quality

Check for brand bidding, misleading discount claims, expired codes and traffic from outside the agreed market. Enforcement protects both margin and brand.

Prune your list. Partners producing nothing after six months cost attention better spent on growers.

Frequently asked questions about this topic

Which publishers work best?

Content and review partners already serving your category usually drive the most incremental revenue. The right mix differs per market and range.

How many partners do I need?

Quality over quantity. Twenty active partners that fit your range typically beat a hundred dormant accounts.

Do you work in the local language?

Yes. Publisher communication and terms are always in the language of the market.
